General Terms and Conditions:

  1. This Promotion is organized by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited ("Citibank") and WeChat Pay Hong Kong Limited (“WeChat Pay Hong Kong”) and is governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
  2. The promotion period is from July 17, 2024 to December 31, 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”). All Eligible Transactions (based on transaction dates, as defined in Clause 4 must be conducted during the Promotion Period.
  3. Unless otherwise specified, rewards under this Promotion applies to cardholders ("Cardholders") of Citi Credit Cards issued by Citibank in Hong Kong (“Eligible Cards”).
  4. “Eligible Transaction(s)” refers to the designated posted local offline and online transaction(s) made in Hong Kong Dollars (excluding money transfer, red packet transfer, top-up for any stored value facilities, payments via Utilities and Telecom Payment, charity donation and cross-border remittance) with an Eligible Card via WeChat Pay HK during the Promotion Period.
  5. Designated merchants refer to merchants which accept payments via WeChat Pay HK in Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong (merchant list to be determined by WeChat Pay Hong Kong at its sole and absolute discretion and updated from time to time) (“Designated Merchants”). For the avoidance of doubts, all cross-border transaction via WeChat Pay HK will be settled in Hong Kong Dollars automatically. For any enquiries about Designated Merchants, please contact WeChat Pay Hong Kong Customer Service Line at 3929 1666.
  6. “WeChat Pay HK” is a mobile-based stored value facility, managed and operated by WeChat Pay Hong Kong.
  7. Citibank will determine the eligibility of Cardholders to participate in this Promotion, as well as the transactions based on Citibank’s records.
  8. In case of any fraud/abuse/reversal or cancellation of transactions in respect of which the offers were awarded, Citibank reserves the right to debit from the Cardholder’s Eligible Card account or (as the case may be) bank accounts the equivalent amount of the offers without prior notice.
  9. If a Cardholder breaches these terms and conditions or engages in illegal, fraudulent, or abusive behavior to obtain and/or use the rewards hereunder, or if any Cardholder engages in behavior that affects the fair participation of the other participants in this Promotion, WeChat Pay Hong Kong reserves the rights to immediately forfeit such Cardholder’s eligibility of participating in this Promotion and/or obtaining (if obtained) and/or the use of the relevant rewards without prior notice.
  10. Cardholders’ Eligible Card accounts must be valid and with good credit record at the time of receiving the offers and during the Promotion Period in order to be eligible to receive the offers, otherwise Citibank reserves the right to forfeit the offers without prior notice.
  11. Cardholders participating in this Promotion must be WeChat Pay HK users and maintain their WeChat Pay HK accounts in normal and good standing. If their WeChat Pay HK accounts are in abnormal, account protection, or restricted status during the Promotion Period or upon distribution or use of the rewards under this Promotion, it shall be deemed that the relevant Cardholders are not eligible to participate in this Promotion and receive the relevant rewards and have forfeited their rights to use those rewards.
  12. During the Promotion Period, each Cardholder can participate in this Promotion once only. To avoid any dispute, in the following circumstances, the relevant WeChat Pay HK accounts will be deemed to be used by the same WeChat Pay HK user (i.e. the same Cardholder):
    (a) Logging in of multiple WeChat Pay HK accounts on the same mobile phone or mobile device; or
    (b) Logging in of the same WeChat Pay HK account with multiple mobile phones or mobile devices; or
    (c) The same credit card or bank account number being linked to multiple WeChat Pay HK accounts.
    In the case of any of the above, WeChat Pay Hong Kong reserves the right to suspend or terminate the release of any rewards to the relevant WeChat Pay HK accounts and to take any legal action to recover loss(es) that it deems fit.
  13. Generally, only one reward (including the e-cash voucher and instant discount) can be used for each transaction conducted with WeChat Pay HK. If there are multiple rewards that can be used in a transaction, the WeChat Pay HK system will automatically use the reward with the higher value first. If there are multiple rewards with the same value that can be used in a transaction, the WeChat Pay HK system will automatically use the reward with the earliest expiration date first.
  14. Cardholders must keep and submit the relevant original credit card sales slips and original merchant sales receipts and/or other documents in respect of Eligible Transactions for inspection upon request by Citibank. All documents submitted to Citibank will not be returned.
  15. For refund after payment is completed,
    (a) in the case of a full refund (as agreed between the Cardholder and the relevant merchant), the relevant reward that has been used will be reissued with its validity period and conditions of usage unchanged. If the relevant reward has expired at the time of successful refund, they cannot be used again and will not be reissued;
    (b) in the case of a partial refund (as agreed between the Cardholder and the relevant merchant)), the relevant reward that has been used will not be reissued.
    Please contact the relevant merchant directly for a refund. WeChat Pay Hong Kong will not intervene in any refund arrangements and does not guarantee and is not responsible for the performance or quality of products/services provided by the relevant merchant.
  16. Unless otherwise specified, this Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with other special promotions, discounts, or promotional coupons, nor transferred or exchanged for cash or other offers.
  17. The rewards and offers received from this Promotion cannot be used to settle any previous outstanding balances, withdrawn as cash advance, nor transferred or exchanged for cash or other offers.
  18. Availability of the offers is subject to offer quota or service availability, account status checking and final acceptance by Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong at their absolute discretion.
  19. Cardholders shall be deemed to have accepted any risks and liabilities in whatsoever nature associated with the services / auxiliary services supplied by Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong, and shall waive any claim against by Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong in relation to such risks and liabilities when Cardholders make the relevant transactions.
  20. Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong will carry out this Promotion in accordance with applicable laws in Hong Kong. In the event this Promotion is stopped by government agency’s orders or must be suspended due to server network attack or system failure or any circumstances beyond Citibank’s and WeChat Pay Hong Kong’s control, such event shall be regarded as a force majeure event, and Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong shall not be liable for any damage, loss or dispute therein.
  21. By participating in this Promotion, the Cardholders accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Promotion, and agree that WeChat Pay Hong Kong may use his or her personal data for the purpose of this Promotion in accordance with WeChat Pay Hong Kong’s Privacy Policy available on https://hkwallet.moneydata.hk/hkwalletv3/agreement/agreement_privacy_policy.html
  22. Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong reserve the right to amend the terms & conditions or to terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notice. For all matters and disputes related to this Promotion, the decision of Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong will be final and conclusive.   24. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms & conditions, the English version shall prevail.

    Reward 1: First-time Card Binding Reward (“Welcome Reward”) Terms and Conditions
  26. During the Promotion Period, Cardholders who binds an Eligible Card to his/her WeChat Pay HK account for the first time (“Eligible New Cardholder”), are eligible to get Citi exclusive e-cash vouchers (“Welcome e-Cash Vouchers”). Details as follows:

    Citi Mastercard® Credit Cards TWO (2) HK$20 Welcome e-Cash Vouchers Once during the entire Promotion Period
    Other Citi Credit Cards ONE (1) HK$20 Welcome e-Cash Voucher
  27. Upon binding an Eligible Card to his/her WeChat Pay HK account, the Eligible New Cardholder is required to visit the “Citi Exclusive Cross-border Promotion” page or “Cross-Boundary Travel” page on WeChat Pay HK platform to collect the corresponding HK$20 Welcome E-cash Voucher(s) within the Promotion Period. No Welcome E-cash Vouchers can be collected after the Promotion Period and will not be reissued under any circumstances.
  28. During the Promotion Period, each Eligible New Cardholder can enjoy the Welcome Reward once, i.e. a maximum of two HK$20 Welcome e-Cash Vouchers. The Welcome Reward is only applicable to Eligible New Cardholders who have never linked any Eligible Card to their WeChat Pay HK account before July 17, 2024.
  29. The Welcome Reward is subject to a monthly quota limit and is offered on a first-come-first-served basis while quota lasts without prior notice. The available quota of the Welcome Reward as recorded in the system of WeChat Pay Hong Kong shall prevail under any circumstances.
  30. Eligible New Cardholders are required to redeem the Welcome Reward via WeChat Pay HK during the Promotion Period, after successfully redemption of the Welcome Reward, the Welcome e-Cash Vouchers will be automatically distributed to the WeChat Pay HK accounts of the Eligible New Cardholders. Eligible New Cardholders can view the details of Welcome e-Cash Vouchers in “My Rewards” under “Offers” of their WeChat Pay HK account.
  31. One HK$20 Welcome e-Cash Voucher can be used by the Eligible New Cardholder upon completing a single Eligible Transaction of HK$20.01 or more with an Eligible Card via WeChat Pay HK at Designated Merchants. Only one HK$20 Welcome e-Cash Voucher rewarded under this Promotion will be deducted automatically per transaction in applicable circumstances and will be shown on the payment completion page of WeChat Pay HK. Each HK$20 Welcome e-Cash Voucher is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance, for any HK$20 Welcome e-Cash Voucher that has not been used after the expiry date will automatically become invalid and will not be reissued. Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong shall bear no liability if Cardholders cannot perform a successful redemption of the Welcome e-Cash Voucher and/or the Welcome e-Cash Voucher is lost due to any circumstances.
    Reward 2: Up to HK$420 Chinese Mainland Exclusive Spending Reward (“Spending Reward”) Terms and Conditions
  32. During the Promotion Period, Cardholders with an Eligible Card linked to WeChat Pay HK (“Eligible Cardholders”) who spend designated amount in a single Eligible Transaction at Designated Merchants in Chinese Mainland (as defined in Clause 5), are automatically eligible to enjoy the instant discount offers (“Spending Reward”). Details as follows:

    Offer 1 Citi Mastercard Credit Cards Upon HK$100 or above HK$20 Once per calendar month during the Promotion Period

    Offer 2 Other Citi Credit Cards Upon HK$100 or above HK$10 Once per calendar month during the Promotion Period
    Upon HK$300 or above HK$30 Once per calendar month during the Promotion Period
  33. The HK$10 Instant Discount, HK$20 Instant Discount, HK$30 Instant Discount and the HK$50 Instant Discount will collectively be called “Instant Discounts” hereunder. During the Promotion Period, Eligible Cardholders may visit the “Citi Exclusive Cross-border Promotion” page in WeChat Pay HK to check the details of the Instant Discounts under the Spending Reward.
  34. During the Promotion Period, each Eligible Cardholder can only enjoy each Instant Discount under Offer 1 or Offer 2 (whichever is applicable) of the Spending Reward once per calendar month, i.e. a maximum of HK$70 instant discount offers in total per calendar month. Each Eligible Cardholder can enjoy each Instant Discount under Offer 1 or Offer 2 (whichever is applicable) of the Spending Reward of a maximum of six (6) times during the entire Promotion Period, i.e. a maximum of HK$420 instant discount offers in total.
  35. For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Cardholders can only enjoy either Offer 1 or Offer 2 under the Spending Reward during the Promotion Period, that is, Offer 1 cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with Offer 2 by the same Eligible Cardholder.
  36. The Spending Reward is subject to a daily quota limit and is offered on a first-come-first-served basis while quota lasts without prior notice. The available quota of the Spending Reward as recorded in the system of WeChat Pay Hong Kong shall prevail under any circumstances.
  37. Eligible Cardholders are not required to redeem any offers in advance or to show any offers when enjoying the Spending Reward, the Instant Discounts will be deducted automatically under applicable circumstances and will be shown as used on the payment completion page of WeChat Pay HK. Citibank and WeChat Pay Hong Kong shall bear no liability if any Eligible Cardholders cannot enjoy any Instant Discount under this Reward 2 due to any circumstances.
