Go to Wallet, tap and drag the debit card to the front to set it as your default card.
Yes, you may add your debit card to a maximum of four devices, and you need to add your card to each device once.
On iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and later, and Apple Watch Series 3 and later, you can add up to 12 debit cards or credit cards on a single device. On earlier models, you can add up to eight cards on a device. Visit Apple’s website for more details.
The average time between submitting the request for activation and receiving approval should be within minutes, but can take up to 10 minutes if any additional verification requirements are needed. If you’ve waited for more than 10 minutes, remove your debit card from Apple Pay and add it again. Contact us for assistance if you continue to experience delay.
Open the Wallet app and select the card. Then tap “●●●” at the top right of the screen and tap "Remove This Card".
Use Apple Pay to Make Purchases
You can use Apple Pay in stores with contactless payment terminals. You can also make in-app purchases or even purchases on the web in Safari where Apple Pay is available as a payment option.
Cancelling a payment made with Apple Pay is the same as a physical card. Contact your merchant if you wish to request a refund.
All purchases made with Apple Pay can be returned, depending on the respective stores’ policies. If you return an item purchased with Apple Pay, the store may require you to tap your phone onto the contactless payment terminal to complete the return.
Apple Pay requires an active internet connection to add and activate a card. However, an active internet connection is not required to make an in-store purchase.
You can view the recent transactions made with Apple Pay in the Wallet app. Simply tap your Debit Card in the app to see the transactions. Additionally, a real-time push notification with transaction details will be sent to your device after each purchase, but this requires an active internet connection.
No, the card image displayed in Apple Pay may not always match the physical card.
The debit card in Apple Pay is a digital version of your physical debit card. If you lose your debit card and receive a replacement card, you need to remove the old card from Apple Pay and add the replacement card to Apple Pay, just like any other new card. Remember to activate your new card via Citi Mobile® App first!
If you receive a renewal card to replace your existing debit card which has expired or will expire soon, you need to activate the renewal card via Citi Mobile® App, and you can use your renewal card in Apple Pay right away without adding the card again.
Yes. When you disable or remove the card from Apple Pay, you are only suspending the digital card that has been assigned to your device for that debit card.
The tick only indicates that the payment terminal is able to detect and recognize your debit card in Apple Pay, but the payment is then declined by us. You may try again or contact us for details.
Yes, you may receive a push notification from the Wallet app (but not from us).
No, the Debit Card will continue to stay on your Apple Watch.
Yes, the debit card will be removed from your Apple Watch.

Payment Security
When you add your debit Card to Apple Pay, a unique virtual account number will be allocated to represent your physical debit card. Your name and the card details, except the last four digit of your card number, will never be shown in the Wallet app or shared with the merchants.
Quickly go to iClould or use the Find My app to suspend or permanently remove the card from that device (even if the lost device is offline and not connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network). Alternatively, you may contact us to block your debit card on the lost device.
No, you need to add the debit card to Apple Pay again.
No, Apple Pay does not have access to any information of your bank accounts.
No. Restoring your device to its factory settings erases all your data and settings, including your debit card added to Apple Pay.
