With FPS, you can now transfer or receive funds in HKD and CNY free-of-charge1 between other local banks, simply using a mobile number, email address or FPS IDs.
Our new Citi Scan and Pay service also enables you to pay friends, merchant or settle bill easily.
Register for FPS and start receiving money
To receive funds with your mobile number, just follow the steps below to register and link your mobile number to your Citi account.

You can transfer up to HK$ 10,000 (or equivalent) one a single day without adding the recipient as a registered payee in advance. To transfer more than that amount, simply add the recipient as a registered payee directly via the app. Click here to learn how to add a new payee.

PromptPay is a widely accepted payment option at most of the places in Thailand, from chained stores, retail groups, night markets and street hawkers4. Just look out for the PromptPay acceptance mark, together with the participating Thailand banks, including Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Krungthai Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Bank of Ayudhya.

Faster Payment System (FPS) Useful Tips
- To transfer money to your payee with a mobile number/ email address/ FPS ID, you do not need to register for FPS. However, your payee must register that mobile number/ email address/ FPS ID for FPS first to link an account to receive funds.
- When you transfer money via the FPS function via Citi Mobile® App, simply enter your Citi Mobile® Token unlock code to authenticate your transaction. Better protection for you!
- Fund transfers are subject to a daily transfer limit. Visit Citibank.hk/transferlimit to find out more.
- If you do not wish to make a transfer to any non-registered payee, just complete and submit the form to lower the daily limit of transfers to non-registered payees to HK$ 0 for all non-registered accounts.
- If you wish to receive funds from other local banks:
Simply link your mobile number/ email address/ FPS identifier to your Citi account via FPS Addressing Service. - Registering your HKID number as Proxy ID will facilitate you to receive payment and transfer from institutions, corporates and the HKSAR government.

Remarks:
- Citibank will not levy any handling fee. An Interbank fund transfer service fee may be applied by your receiving bank to the transferred amount. Please contact the receiving bank for enquiry.
- Registering your HKID number as Proxy ID will facilitate you to receive payment and transfer from institutions, corporates and the HKSAR government. For details, please refer to the government's official website.
- You can only select a HKD deposit account as the debit account for FPS x PromptPay QR Payment. THB accounts are not supported.
- If the product or service provided by a merchant is not what you expect it to be, including but not limited to spoilt goods, returned goods and unsatisfactory services, please contact and handle it directly with the merchant. If you wish to raise a dispute over a transaction for incorrect payment amount, double payment or unauthorized payment, please contact us within 28 calendar days (the cutoff time is 12:00 pm on a bank business day, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) from the transaction date (transaction date inclusive) for investigation.
- Your existing daily limit for transfers to non-registered payees will be applied to FPS x PromptPay QR Payment. The default and maximum daily limit is HK$ 10,000 or equivalent.
Please note that FPS QR code will be displayed with FPS logo to indicate the support of FPS service generally.
If you are not sure whether the QR code is valid and supports FPS service, please check with the payee/merchant. Remember not to scan anonymous QR code.
